The Accellera DVCon Europe Conference will open its doors in Munich for the 4th time on October 16th. This year’s panel selection process was changed from being driven by the steering committee to a public proposal process. The call for panels was aligned with the call for paper process, to allow users to provide input to the conference program as to what panel topics should be discussed during the conference. As a result of the selection process, two interesting panels were selected to complement the conference technical program.
The technical program for the second day will start after the keynote speech, with the first panel aligned to the functional safety track and extending this into the security topic. The panel will generate a state-of-the-art discussion on the topics across the broad area of safety and security with industry experts. Details on the first panel can be found at the DVCon page -> The Best Tools for Driving Safety and Security in Automotive Applications.
The other track in the program is centred around the never-ending story of productivity increases through design process automation. This open discussion on both the options and the pitfalls in design process automation will conclude the technical program of the second day. Like the security panel, details on the automation panel be found at the DVCon page -> Intelligent Automation: How to Decide What to and What not to Automate?.
The setup of the panels enriches the technical program; however, a panel derives its power through participation, questions and discussion. DVCon is a conference for the users and the panels allow the users to interactively discuss topics with industry experts.
Of course, the panel will not end the program as this is reserved to the celebration of the best paper awards.
