New Year is approaching fast, so it’s a good point in time for looking back at DVCon Europe 2017.

DVCon Europe 2017 was again a successful conference, with 280 participants, representing more than 79 separate companies and organizations from 22 countries across Europe and beyond. It's fantastic how well DVCon Europe has been established within 4 years as the place to be for the European design and verification community.

This year’s DVCon included two excellent keynote speeches from Audi and Bosch Sensortec, two panel sessions, a 5G special interest session and a networking reception. DVCon Europe attracted 21 exhibitors, presenting their EDA tools, services and solutions.

What makes DVCon Europe special?

It’s the “DVCon-munity”: The conference is based on a collaborative approach, for engineers by engineers, for having an attractive program, writing practical application papers, presenting up-to-date tutorials and having constructive panel discussions. These interactions help for advancing the system-level design, modeling and functional verification standards and their adoption.

All the DVCon Europe content gives the attendees a “genuine learning feeling throughout”, and opportunities for learning about emerging topics like autonomous driving, Safety-Critical Verification, 5G, Accellera’s Portable Stimulus Standard and latest updates on UVM-based Verification, SystemC based Virtual Protoytping, Formal Verification and Analog/Mixed-Signal Design and others.

A great example for the DVCon-munity is the SystemC Evolution Day. Adjacent to DVCon Europe, Steering Board members organized together with other industry peers the 2nd edition of Accellera’s SystemC Evolution Day, following its successful launch last year. At this “spinoff” from DVCon Europe, the Accellera Systems Initiative announced a new library release of the SystemC core language, advancing the SystemC Ecosystem.

Thanks to all our speakers, attendees, sponsors and exhibitors, who all came together, downtown Munich on the 16th and 17th of October 2017, for two intense days of collaboration, educational training, and networking! DVCon Europe 2018 will be held at the Holiday Inn in Munich, Germany on October 24th and 25th, 2018; details to be published soon.

We wish you and your families a Happy New Year 2018 and hope to see you at DVCon Europe 2018.
