DVCon Europe 2019 has started! The call for papers, tutorials and panels is now open and we encourage all engineers, from beginners to experts, to submit an abstract in the field of system-level design or verification of integrated and embedded systems and products.

For those not familiar yet with this emerging and must-attend technical conference in Europe: The Design and Verification Conference and Exhibition is all about sharing best practices and exchanging experiences in the application of EDA languages, standards, methodologies and tools focusing on software and hardware design and verification.

As DVCon Europe is made by users for users, we encourage submissions in the following topic areas:

  • System-level design
  • Verification & Validation
  • IP Reuse and Design Automation
  • Functional Safety & Security
  • Mixed-signal / Low-power Design & Verification
  • Model-based and Model supported Software Design (NEW!)

Due to the importance of firmware and software in SoCs and embedded system designs, we’ve added a new topic area focusing on model-based software design, which also includes tools and methods for software development for design and verification.

Like last year, we follow an attractive and light-weight submission process where an initial submission is required before writing the full paper. More details on the submission process can be found in the Call for Papers.

DVCon Europe is keen to attract presentation and talks demonstrating the latest industry trends and technical innovations. If you work on design or verification methods beyond state-of-the-art or if you are creating the next-generation of design or verification technology for our industry, then join DVCon Europe and submit your paper! Especially technical contributions addressing concepts and developments like Digital Twin, Machine Learning, Internet-of-things and Functional safety and security are of great value and we would like to hear from you!

In addition to the Call for Papers, there are also opportunities to submit a proposal for a tutorial or panel session. Tutorials at DVCon Europe are a 90 minute “deep dive” into a specialized technical topic. We aim at creating diverse tutorial program including industrial, educational, research-oriented and standardization-oriented tutorials. A tutorial session can cover multiple industry speakers active in a certain domain, or could be highly educational with one or two “teachers” which learn you the tricks and trade of a certain language or methodology. If you are interested to organize such an event, please submit your tutorial!

The Call for Panels encourage submissions of highly interactive and lively 1-hour sessions on technical topics and developments. Panels should be inspiring, could be controversial and should encourage discussion on a specific topic of interest to the community. Panel sessions will not host paper presentations, instead these sessions focus on interaction and discussion with the audience.

The DVCon Europe submission site opens March 5 and closes on April 9. We are looking forward to receive your submission for paper, tutorial or panel!
